Carol graduated from the Milwaukee Area Health Education Center's Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Program in 2011. In 2014, she received a certification as a CHW Supervisor through Milwaukee AHEC. Carol was the first supervisor to graduate from the AHEC CHW Supervisor program to supervise a team of 10 CHWs.  

 

Carol retired from her position as a Supervisor in 2020 and served with AmeriCorps/MCHS (Marshfield Clinic Health System) as a Pipeline Program Coordinator through Milwaukee AHEC from 2022 - 2024. She supported and mentored high school students who are interested in exploring health careers. Carol also assisted the NAF Health Sciences teachers at four MPS High Schools. She now continues to support Milwaukee AHEC coaching CHW students.

In her leisure time Carol enjoys reading and playing board games with her 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
